All about your planner...
Andrea was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in International Business Management. Married in 2013, Andrea has 2 daughters and 2 rescue dogs. When she is not planning events, she can be found attending live music concerts and festivals. Andrea loves to travel all around the world but enjoys Prague, Czech Repubic and Key West, Florida the best.
Despite her degree and study-abroad experience at Universidad Nacional in Costa Rica, Andrea feels passionate that small and local business keep our world vibrant and diverse. She'll pass up a chain restaurant for a local dive any day of the week!
How this began...
Andrea's drive to create unforgettable experiences started in 2012 when a friend of her (then) 7-year-old daughter suffered a life-threatening medical emergency. Like so many others, Andrea wanted to help the family and decided to organize a community fundraiser to assist with medical bills. In October 2013, a successful Halloween themed 5k Fun Run took place! Several hundred neighbors attended, thousands of dollars were raised, and a new chapter of life (for many people) began.
The Approach
Event planning can be overwhelming, whether for a large wedding or a small birthday party. Perhaps you have an idea but aren't sure how to bring that vision to life. Maybe you are so busy you want to hand the responsibilities completely to someone else. Andrea is prepared to help as much, or as little, as you need. GrandEvents will cater to the client and no two clients will ever be the same.

My name is Jeff Di Perna. I am the drummer for the band “ neutral loss “.
The purpose of this statement is to let you know about one of the many events that Andrea Soltis has organized that I’ve attended.
This specific event was our summer block party in our housing plan.
Andrea not only booked my band for this huge event, but she also made arrangements for the stage, lights, and sound for my band. She designed and mailed flyers to every home in our plan, contacted neighbors for permission to use their homes for space & electricity, and set up tents as if we were having a festival. Honestly, it kinda turned out that way! It was like a festival when all was said and done.
Andrea had all sorts of games for kids, face painting, ice cream trucks, etc.
We had 100s of people show up for the event and Andrea organized the entire thing from scratch and within short notice. It’s very impressive
Her creative mind, dedication, and hard work made this event a success and I would highly recommend using her for your next event!

Andrea came up with the idea to turn our Fall Preview Show into a fundraiser for our high school band and it has been a huge success for two years now. We have a food truck rally before the show which brings in people from the community to enjoy our band’s show and increases our visibility in the surrounding area. She makes sure we have a great variety of trucks to choose from and plans a physical layout that works well for both the trucks and the customers. Andrea communicated details and progress with me all throughout the planning so I knew exactly what to expect that day, as well as communicating with the school so that facilities knew what to expect and what she needed from them. She had a plan from setup to cleanup and both events went smoothly. You can be sure we will be using GrandEvents Planning again in the future.

Andrea was my wedding coordinator, and I couldn’t have picked a better person for the job. I met Andrea when she worked at LifeSteps, she watched after my brother and I when we were little! We kept in contact and when I found out she was an event planner I couldn’t have been happier to have her help with my big day. From changing my diapers to planning my wedding was surreal and so special. She is not only a fantastic event planner but a even better person.
